Tin Mill Products
- Black Plate (BP) – light gauge Cold Rolled steel ranging from .0061” – .0149” thick.
- Electrolytic Tinplate Plate (ETP) – Electrolytically tin coated Black Plate to provide a needed level of corrosion resistance ranging from .0061” – .0149”
- Electrolytic Tin Coated Sheet (ETCS) – Electrolytically tin coated Cold Rolled steel ranging in gauge from .0150” – .036”
- Electrolytic Chromium Coated Sheet (ECCS) – Electrolytically chromium coated Black Plate, referred to as TFS (tin free steel), ranging from .0061” – .0149”.
Sheet Mill Products
- Hot Rolled Steel (HR) – Steel reduced by rolling at high temperature, typically found in heavier gauges >.059 – 1”.
- Cold Rolled Steel (CR) – hot rolled coils further reduced at ambient temperature, typically yielding tighter dimensional tolerances and available in broader mechanical properties.
- Coated Steel – corrosion resistant sacrificial coatings.
- Hot Dipped Galvanized (HDG) – HR or CR sheet with a zinc layer, applied via a molten zinc bath.
- Electro-galvanizing (EG) – lighter gauge CR sheet electrolytically zinc coated with a more cosmetic appeal.
- Galfan – CR sheet with a 5% Al / 95% Zn coating featuring: no spangle, low coefficient of friction, improved formability and excellent paint adhesion.
- Stainless Steel – corrosion and stain resistant.
- Aluminum – light weight and corrosion resistant.

Our Services
Lakeside Metals is a steel distributor that specializes in the processing of light gauge coil products. We own and operate five cut to length lines and three slitters utilizing state of the art equipment.
Between our internal operations and network partners, we offer:
Slitting (regular and oscillate), Shearing, Scroll Shearing, Decorating (coating and lithography), Warehousing and Inventory Management.
Our inventory consists of thin carbon steel coil and sheet including tinplate, black plate, cold rolled and tin free steel in thicknesses from .006″ to .035″. In addition to processing our own material, we toll cut many coil products including galvanized, aluminum, painted metal and stainless steel.
